Composite Deck Build

This is a deck build we did in the spring of 2021 in Boulder, CO. We worked with an architect to come up with the color scheme and general shape/design of the deck. As you can see in the photos we decided to break up the deck into smaller portions to not have butt joints between deck boards which would all open up and show differently overtime, making the deck look of poor quality. The main deck frame construction was built entirely from pressure treated LVLs - providing the flattest most stable deck possible. We also rebuilt the smaller deck on the front of the house and tried out our joinery skills on a custom shaded seating area.

We recently checked in with the homeowner and they said it is holding up great!
