Upgrading Westminster's split-levels and newer builds
A big share of Westminster's homes went up between the 1960s and the 1980s. Many are split-levels and bi-levels that still have their original builder trim, hollow-core doors, and wire-shelf closets. They're solid houses that respond well to a finish carpentry upgrade. New trim and doors change the feel of a room more than almost anything else for the money.
Newer neighborhoods like Legacy Ridge and Bradburn have different needs. Homeowners there usually want to customize: built-in office shelving, entertainment walls, closet systems, and accent walls that make a builder-standard house feel like their own.
What I do in Westminster:
-
Whole-house trim replacement (baseboard, casing, window trim)
-
Interior door replacement, including slab and pre-hung
-
Crown molding
-
Closet systems and built-in storage
-
Wainscoting, board-and-batten, and accent walls
-
Stair railings and parts, including split-level half-walls
I'm a one-person shop based in Arvada, a short drive away. You'll get a written estimate from me, the work done by me, and a walkthrough with me at the end.

Questions from Westminster homeowners
Can you replace all the interior doors in my house?
Yes. I install both slab doors (reusing your existing frames) and pre-hung doors (new frame and door together). I'll tell you which makes more sense once I see the condition of your jambs.
Do you work on split-level stairs and railings?
Yes. Split-levels have short flights of stairs at every level change, and updating the railings, balusters, and stair trim makes a big difference.
Can you replace wire closet shelving?
Yes. I build custom closet systems that replace wire shelving with solid shelves, hanging rods, and drawers or cubbies laid out around what you actually store.
