A good built-in adds storage, gives a room a focal point and makes the house feel more finished. Because each piece is designed for one specific wall, it can use space that store-bought furniture never fits.

A TV wall with flanking cabinets, open shelving and hidden storage for components.

Floor-to-ceiling shelving with base cabinets.

Cabinets and shelves on either side of a fireplace, and fireplace surrounds. Also mantels.

I measure the space, talk through how you'll use it, and work out the layout, door and drawer style, and finish with you. The boxes, face frames, doors and shelves are built in my shop in Arvada, where I can control quality and keep your home clean. I install everything on site, scribing it to your walls, floor and ceiling, and tie it in with trim that matches your house.
What affects the cost?

Size — the overall width and height of the piece.

Doors and drawers — these take the most time to build, so more of them means a higher price than open shelving.

Materials — the type of plywood, hardwood and panels used.

Door style — flat slab, shaker and inset doors each take different amounts of work.

Finish — paint-grade vs. stain-grade.

Hardware — hinges, drawer slides, pulls and any specialty hardware.

Can you build an entertainment wall around my TV?
Yes. I plan the opening around your TV with room for a larger one later, and include space and ventilation for your components.
Do I need a designer?
No. I help with the layout and design. If you're already working with a designer, I'm happy to build from their drawings.
Can you match my existing cabinets or trim?
Usually, yes. I can match door styles, trim profiles and paint colors so the built-in looks like it was always part of the house.
Do built-ins add value to a home?
